Focus Group Discussion (FGD): 10 June 2017

The ECCE Council conducted its first Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on 10 June 2017 on issues on quality and professionalism in early childhood development, care and education. Seventeen lecturers and 18 students from 10 colleges and universities (both public and private) accepted the invitation to dialogue on these issues with Datuk Dr Chiam Heng Keng, the President of ECCE Council.

The participants raised a number of issues and challenges pertaining to quality and professionalism. As some of the issues and challenges were discussed in depth with members of the Executive Committee and participants sharing their experiences or suggesting solutions, many other issues were not able to be raised.

The ECCE Council will be conducting more FDG in the Klang Valley other zones.
